How long does shipping take?
We offer UPS Ground, 2-Day, and 1-Day shipping options. Orders usually leave our facility within 1 to 2 business days.
- For UPS Ground, expect delivery within 3 to 5 business days.
- For UPS 2-Day and 1-Day, your order will arrive within the specified timeframe from the day it ships.
Which countries do you ship to?
ExoTek3™ is currently available only in the United States.
What is your return policy?
New and unused products can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding shipping and handling.
What if the product is damaged?
Contact us at orders@exotek3.com for a full refund if your product is damaged during shipping. We don’t cover user-inflicted damages or lost parts.

How many layers are included?
The ExoTek3™ Multi-layer protective film installation consists of three layers of UV resistant polyester. Each layer is 3 mil thick and can be individually removed as needed. Our patented design allows the film to be removed with the adhesive sticking to the discarded layer.
How long will each layer last?
We suggest peeling off a layer every six months. The duration can extend based on your windshield usage.
Can I apply it to an older windshield?
Certainly, but ExoTek3™ Protective Film is ideally suited for undamaged windshields as it could magnify existing flaws.
Does ExoTek3™ film offer protection against rock strikes?
Absolutely, ExoTek3™ Protective Film safeguards your windshield from rock chips and other debris.
Self Installation
Do I need assistance during installation?
It’s advisable to have a partner assist in guiding the film onto the windshield for a smoother process.
Can I get this installed at a local window tint shop?
Yes, any automotive window tint shop should be capable of installing ExoTek3™ Protective Film.
What's the ideal temperature for installation?
Install ExoTek3™ indoors between 60°F and 80°F. Also, avoid precipitation for at least 24 hours post-installation for proper curing.
Should I clean the film before application?
Yes, clean both sides of the film and let it rest overnight on a flat surface to ensure proper adherence.
Is there a recommended paper towel for installation?
Any lint-free paper towel would suffice.
Do I need to install each layer separately?
No, the pre-laminated three-layer ExoTek3™ Protective Film is installed in one go, and layers can be removed individually as needed.
Can I reposition the film if misaligned?
Yes, but promptly, within two minutes of initial positioning, and remember to respray the installation solution.
How much pressure is necessary when using a squeegee?
Apply firm, consistent pressure to remove as much solution as possible. Repeated squeegeeing might be required to ensure solution removal.
When can a layer be removed if a rock hits the windshield soon after installation?
If a rock strikes the windshield soon after application, wait for the film to cure for at least 24 to 48 hours before removing a layer.
How to manage film popping up during installation?
Apply strong downward pressure with a paper towel-covered squeegee. If it persists, wait for a few minutes before squeegeeing again.
When can I drive in rain post-installation?
We advise waiting at least 24 hours before driving in rain and 3 to 5 days before washing the car.
When can I clean the windshield post-installation?
After about an hour of curing time, using only ammonia-free glass cleaners.
